Our Mission Statement

We exist to...

  • To recognize and honor God as giver and keeper of life by surrendering to Him.
  • To tell the good news of Christ at every opportunity and to share with others what Christ has done for us.
  • To teach people the Bible and to guide them toward a commitment to Jesus.
  • To care for each other and all people in Jesus' name by meeting needs.

We hold to the Baptist Faith and Message as adopted and amended at the June 14, 2000, meeting of the Southern Baptist Convention.

The Gospel

A good way to summarize the Gospel is to Biblically unpack the words God, Man, Christ, and Response.

Some of this material has been adapted from The Gospel and Personal Evangelism by Mark Dever, p. 43 //SOURCE

Another way to summarize the Gospel is a method known as the Romans Road. It has to do with the following verses:

  • Romans 3:23 // "...for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..."
  • Romans 6:23 // "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
  • Romans 5:8 // "...but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
  • Romans 10:9 // "...because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
  • Romans 10:13 // "For 'everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'"
  • Romans 8:1 // "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."
  • Romans 8:38-39 // "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
